Hey there, sweet mama friend.
All week, we’ve been talking about finding and building your village—connecting with other moms, asking for specific help, and recognizing the people and resources already around you.
But today, I want to turn the question around.
Maybe instead of only asking, “Where can I find my village?” we should also ask, “How can I be a village for someone else?”
Be the mom who invites another mom for coffee.
Be the neighbor who offers to watch the kids for an hour.
Be the friend who brings dinner when you know another mama is having a hard week.
Be the experienced mom who listens without judgment when a new mom needs to talk.
And by the way, even if you’re a first-time mom with a newborn, don’t think you have nothing to offer yet. You’ve already learned things that a first-time mom-to-be may need to hear.
Your experience may be brand new, but it’s still valuable.
Philippians 2:4 says, “Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.”
Because sometimes, the best way to find your village is to start by being one for someone else.
Thanks for spending this minute with me.
