Hey there, sweet mama friend.
Have you ever found yourself frustrated because your child isn’t behaving the way you think they should, because “they should know better”?
Maybe they’re struggling to share, manage their emotions, or respond respectfully.
But here’s something we sometimes forget:
Children aren’t born knowing how to do these things. These are skills that have to be learned.
In John 13, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, demonstrating what it meant to serve others.
Then He told them, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
Jesus didn’t just tell His disciples what He expected. He showed them.
And mama, our children need that same guidance.
Instead of simply telling your child to calm down, show them how to take a breath. Instead of demanding they share, teach them how to take turns.
The goal isn’t just to raise children who know what’s right, but children who know how to do what’s right.
Thanks for spending this minute with me.
✨Carry this with you today…
Don’t just tell your children what you expect. Show them what it looks like.
