Hey there, sweet mama friend.
Before we became moms, most of us had a picture in our heads of what motherhood would look like for us—and who we would be in it.
Many of the expectations and standards we set for ourselves come from something we experienced – good or bad – in our childhood.
Maybe you imagined you’d always be patient or that you’d always make time to explain things to your kids rather than simply saying, “Because I said so.” Maybe you thought you’d keep everything clean and organized in your home and know exactly where things were at a moment’s notice.
And then motherhood happened.
And you discovered that real motherhood doesn’t always look like the picture in your head.
But, Mama, that doesn’t mean you failed.
It means you’re human—and you’re growing.
Philippians 1:6 reminds us that God, who began a good work in us, will carry it on to completion.
God is slowly shaping you into the mother He knows YOUR children need, and it’s okay if that doesn’t look the way you thought it would.
Thanks for spending this minute with me.
✨Carry this with you today…
You may not be the mom you imagined, but God is still writing your story.
