Hey there, sweet mama friend.

Yesterday, we talked about the mom you thought you’d be.

And maybe as you thought about that, you realized something: motherhood hasn’t always turned out the way you imagined.

Maybe this season is harder than you expected.

Maybe your child needs something from you that you never anticipated.

Maybe your family looks different than the picture you carried in your heart.

And sometimes, we can spend so much energy wishing things looked different that we miss the beauty of what God is doing right here.

Isaiah 43:19 says, “See, I am doing a new thing!”

Sometimes, God is doing something beautiful in a story we never would have written for ourselves.

So today, instead of asking, “Why doesn’t my motherhood look the way I thought it would?” ask, “God, what are You showing me in the motherhood you’ve given me?”
